About Ken Chapman

For as long as I can remember, Art has been one of the things that I have enjoyed doing. I did not take any art classes during high school, but in College I took “Art History”. In adulthood I pursued my career as a teacher and began to take art classes with some of the Art teachers I worked with at JH Bruns.

Al Pauls taught me pottery and sculpture. Ron Osthus taught me to paint watercolor landscapes. These courses helped shape the journey my art studies have wandered.

After retiring, I rekindled my love of creating Art, and enrolled in “Watercolor for Beginners” at Forum Art Institute. There I am fortunate to have classes filled with amazing and interesting fellow students with instruction from the likes of, Garth Palanuk, Gabriella Aquero, and Ruth Keminev. Those experiences have helped to rekindle my passion and love of watercolor painting and beyond.

I have, as well, taken some amazing and exciting workshops with artists, Wendy Kroeker, Bonnie Roberts, and, Charmaine Watt.

I love the representative style of watercolour landscapes and have moved into a reprasentative, abstract style in my acrylic painting.

I hope you enjoy my art and if you have any questions I can be contacted at kjcart@outlook.com.
